Bali - a little pause for the soul

I’ve been to Bali three times now - first in 2017, again in 2022, and then for a longer stay right after I left New York. I spent three months there and it was exactly what I needed.

It’s not a place I’d move to forever, but if you’re looking for a time-out to just be, to heal, and reconnect - it’s perfect. The energy is so soft and open.

I stayed mostly in Canggu, close to my energy mentor, but if I could choose again, I think I’d go for Uluwatu - it’s calmer, the beaches are beautiful, and it just feels a bit more peaceful. I also loved visiting Ubud - it’s such a grounding place.

During this trip, I did a lot of breathwork and energy work 1:1 sessions, and spent time with myself. I learned a lot about childhood, patterns, and healing. It’s not always easy, but it was so worth it.

The only thing I found hard was the heat - it’s very humid, which isn’t really my thing, but I made it work. What I loved was the food - everything is fresh, clean and healthy, which is exactly how I like to eat.

I also loved riding the scooter every day - it gives me this beautiful feeling of freedom. And a few years ago, I even joined a surf camp there, which was such a fun experience.

Bali is full of inspiring people - everyone is into growth, health, and spirituality. There are amazing gyms, workout classes, entrepreneur meet-ups, and so many chances to learn and connect.

It’s a place that really supports you when you need it.

Magical, soft, and full of little moments.

xx Yvonne
