After New York and Bali, I spent a few months in Paris - around 3 or 4 - just to see how it felt.
And honestly… it was really beautiful.
I’ve always loved aesthetic places, and Paris is just that. Everything feels curated - the streets, the cafés, the light. It’s romantic in such a soft and subtle way.
Style-wise, Paris is the perfect city. I love timeless and elegant looks, and the Haussmann architecture (like my name hehe) makes it all feel like a dream. It’s calm and beautiful, and it really matches my mood - all the big brands are here, which makes it even more inspiring.
Content-wise, it would be a dream. The cafés, the quiet streets, the muted tones… everything looks like a little story.
One thing I really appreciate - Paris is so close to my family. With the fast TGV train from Stuttgart, I can be there in just 3-4 hours. That makes a big difference, especially when I’ve lived far away for so long.
Not everything was perfect -my phone got stolen in the metro, so you do have to be a bit careful. And compared to NYC, the people here are more reserved. I’m very warm and open, so I felt that. The energy isn’t as fast or driven, but in a way… that’s also what makes it special.
Paris is slower. Softer. But still full of life.
And maybe one day, I’ll call it home too.
xx Yvonne
